Our Quality Management System has been certified to ISO9001:2000 by ABS since 21 April 2004. It is applicable for Engineering design, procurement, construction & commissioning of rigs/offshore structures, vessels and marine repair works.

One of the first shipyards in Singapore to be presented with the Statement of Compliance of a Port Facility for meeting the IMO’s International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities (the “ISPS” code) on 1 July 2004.

The first shipyard in the world to receive an award from American Bureau of Shipping on 26th September 2007 for the first jack-up to receive the ABS HAB+ Notation.

The OEC Hall of Fame recognizes and honors the individuals and companies that contributed to the development of technologies in the offshore marine industry. Pioneering technologies are innovations that stand out in the development of the offshore industry and its resources. Those pioneering technologies enshrined in the Hall include the development of drillships, jackup drilling rigs, supply boats and helicopters. A plaque (names of PPL and 8 other pioneers) is displayed onboard the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig And Museum (a retired jackup built in 1969 converted into a museum located in Galveston, Texas) for permanent recognition.
